Matching Gift - Make Your Gift Go Farther
Many companies match the individual gifts of their employees, retirees and directors.
Check with your Human Resources Department to see if your company has this program.
Request the required form and fill it in. Send it along with your gift to Single
Parent Scholarship Fund. We'll take it from there - process the gift and documentation
of the matching gift. It's that easy!
We appreciate your support and your additional effort on our behalf.
Legacy Gift
Whether supported through an outright gift or a planned gift, scholarships are made
possible through the generosity and commitment of individuals like you. A planned gift
to the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County helps ensure that low-income
students will always be able to receive a helping hand.
Bequest: By designating the Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County as a
beneficiary, you can leave a set amount or a percentage of your estate to build the
endowment to help future generations of single parents. You can also designate your
gift to support current scholarships or student programs.
Gift of Life Insurance: If you have a paid up life-insurance policy that you no longer
need, consider donating it to SPSF/BC.
Charitable Remainder Trust: Transfer highly appreciated assets (property or stock)
and/or IRA assets to this trust and it will provide a life income to the beneficiary,
and then an eventual gift to SPSF/BC.
Charitable Lead Trust: Individuals with very large estates can use a charitable lead
trust to benefit SPSF/BC and pass principal to family members with little or no tax
penalty.
Legacy gifts are used to increase the Endowment unless the donor otherwise specifies.

on capital gains taxation while earning a charitable deduction on your income taxes.
Stock can be given to make an annual gift to fund current scholarships or can be used to make
a legacy gift that will provide funding for future generations of single parents seeking to earn
a college or technical school degree.

Memorial or Honor Gift
Memorial and tribute gifts provide a special opportunity to let family and friends
know they are being remembered. Memorial gifts are a thoughtful and caring way to express
your sympathy. Tribute gifts honor special people on their anniversary, birthday, graduation,
wedding or other special occasion.
When you give an honor or memorial gift, the individual or family will receive a
card notifying them of your thoughtfulness. This card will not disclose the amount
of your gift. When $500 or more is given in memory of a single person within one
year, this individual is recognized in the annual memorial brochure. All memorial
and honor gifts go toward the endowment unless otherwise specified.
When sending memorial or honor gifts, please note whether the gift is in memory
or in honor of someone and to whom we should send the acknowledgement card. Please
provide both the name and address. You will receive a receipt for your contribution.
These gifts provide the gift of hope for a bright future to a single parent family.
Please make all gifts payable to: Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Benton County.
